Cantina Agiba 6 Mura

6MURA arises from the lands of Carignano, the sandy hills which stretch from the water front in Porto Pino to Calasetta, crossing Giba and Sant’Antioco.
The name is an axiom of “Su de Us Muras”, a protected area of Iglesiente around Giba.
The strong adherence to the characteristics of the territory is such that 6MURA expresses the interaction between land and vine. Producing a strong wine, different from international taste, a rather visionary expression of Sulcis, which retains, a refined and at the same time enveloping bouquet, the scent of the salty winds, which alternates with the harshness of the Maestrale wind, the flavour of salt softened by the sweetness of the Mediterranean shrub.
From the technical point of view, the old vineyards of Carigango del Sulcis ( between 50 and 100 years old) preserve the traditional bush-trained ungrafted cultivation. The characteristics of the red wine are enhanced by a long maceration of the skins and aging in 750 and 2000L oak barrels for approximately 12 months.
