Podere La Regola Soc. Agricola Semplice

The wine making company Podere La Regola, is situated on the Coast of Tuscany, that has always been a land of great Vineyard selection, only 5 km from the Tyrrhenian Sea, in the valley of the river Cecina, in the municipality of Riparbellam, a DOC area of Montescudaio. The great poet Giosuè Carducci dedicated his poems to the nearby and evocative town of Bolghieri, surrounded by vineyards, olive groves and cypress trees. The company was founded in 1990 by brothers Luca and Flavio Nuti who followed the footstepts of their great grandfather who planted the first vineyards in the locality of “La Regola” in the 1900s. In the 20 hectares of land, located both on the plains and on hills (150 – 200 meters above sea level) the company produces red grapes of Sangiovese, cabernet franc/sauvignon, merlot, syrah and petit Verdot, and white grapes of Vermentino, Chardonnay, Sauvignon blanc and Viogner. The company also produces a rosè wine, and grappa made from dried grapes and a particularly delicate oil.
