Azienda Agricola Ceralti di Alfeo Jacopo

The Ceralti Farm has its roots in the territory of Castagneto Carducci, a medieval Tuscan village. It once was owned by the Rutili family from Montecavallo (Macerata), from where they came at the end of the 19th century. The great grandfather of the current owners was an important figure in the municipality of  Castagneto Carducci.  He was friends with the poet Giosuè Carducci, president of the Philharmonic Hall, mayor of the town and a great admirer and lover of trotting horses. He was a well know agronomist, and was able to hand down his passion to the next generations. The property stretches both over hill and on plains. The main passion and tradition is for the viticulture. The processing of the grapes is done in the traditional way, with modern vinification techniques. The vineyards have 6,200 plants per hectare, with training systems that range from the spurred cordon to the guyot.
