La Cerretella di Michela Bianchi

The company is spread over two neighbouring municipalities: Cecina and Castagneto Carducci, in the Tuscan “Alta Maremma” area.The owner, Michela Bianchi, relies on the precious help of his parents, Pilade and Franca, the oenologist Laura Zuddas and agronomist Francesco Merlini. Since 2008 the company which develops in the DOC Terratico area of Bibbona consists of about 3000 metres of vineyards (before 2008 the company rented 4 hectares of vineyards and 1 hectare of olive groves) meanwhile the lands that rise from the Bolgheri DOC production area, in the “La Cerretella” locality, have about 1,7 hectares and are still in expansion, planted as Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah and Merlot. The olive groves, that are situated in the municipality of Castagneto Carducci, are managed by the mother Franca Niccolai and have about 1050 plants of olive trees (varieties of Frantoio, Leccino, Moraiolo and Pendolino) that stretch over 2,8 hectares of land.
