Vermentino is a historical variety of our territory, it has been cultivated on Guado al Melo since the beginning of the nineteenth century. The vineyards of this beautiful coast, and the warm Mediterranean climate, tempered by the sea breeze, give birth to a fragrant white wine with fresh hints, pleasant on every occasion.
THE NAME: The label and the name come from our territory: A heron stalks daintily through the reeds of the ancient Alta Maremma. A famous Ode of Carducci, dedicated to this land, is written behind; the poet’s memories are full of nostalgia, for he spent his childhood in these places. Who lives here, knows how true is this line :…peace say the hills to your heart …

This wine is made by a Vineyard situated to the north west of Sarzana.
Vinification: soft pressing
Serving temperature: 11-12° C
A good exposure to the sun allows for a correct maturation. A selective harvest of the grapes, a fermentation and ageing process at a controlled temperature and the use of modern equipments for bottling ad packing maintain unaltered the organoleptic characteristics of the wine.
