The vineyards have a density of 5.000 plants per ha with a training system following the line of maximum inclination and Guyot pruning method.
The harvest is manual and it takes place mid Sepember. The vinification is made without the skins at a controlled temperature. The wine is bottled between March and April.

The history of the farm La Colombiera begins in the early 70s, when Francesco Ferro, founder of the company, bought a piece of Ligurian land in the hills of Castelnuovo Magra, territory of the ancient city of Luni. The lucky geographical location of the vineyards, bordered by Tuscan-Emilian Apennines on the northern side and by the Ligurian Sea on the south, allows the cultivation of fine grapes planted in dry soils. The cellar is equipped with the most advanced tools and machines to produce high quality wines with absolute respect for tradition. These working techniques, together with a strict management of the vineyards, attempt to avoid any chemical manipulations of grapes and wines.
