«U-Tabarka» is made in Carloforte, on the enchanting Island of S.Pietro, the wine takes its name and character from its ties to this landBehind every drop of «U-Tabarka» lurks echoes of distant lands, which have been brought back by the founders of the winery and invigorated by the decisive taste of the grapes. So, in July 2000 with the same spirit of courage and determination as the Tabarkini community, the project for the construction of the first wine making company called Tanca Gioia on the Island in Carloforte began. The winery in the centre of the property is run along these principles. It adheres to the most advanced rules, safeguards, processes and methods rooted in the history of wine making. The company’s vineyards rise on different levels, on soils that are constantly in the sunlight. The vulcanic origin and the sandy composition of the soils, together with a meticulous, traditional processing, give the U-Tabarka wines a particular freshness and richness of aromas.
