Cantina Pedres was born thanks to the wine tradition of the Mancini family, starting in the '800, and later to the perseverance and foresight of the youngest of his descendants, John Mancini. The wineyard is located in Gallura, one of the finest wine-growing areas of Italy, where the soil and the mild climate are exceptionally favorable for growing grapes. Cantina Pedres believes that the quality of wine is related first in the vineyard and the management style, with care and attention for quality, reliability and commercial offer to consumers of wines with certified origins. Since 2002 Antonella, daughter of John, has started an important process of technological renovation of the winery, with investments that have affected both, the production system and the vineyards. After a century of production for other Cellars, Cantina Pedres began to produce its own bottles of wine, and the wines bearing the Pedres name reached for the first time the international markets, where by the way they continue to be very successful. The soils of terroir are granitic and sandy and always under the sun, that means small quantity but very high quality of production. The wines produced: 80% Vermentino di Gallura DOCG, 7% Moscato di Sardegna DOC, 7% Cannonau di Sardegna DOC, 6% Cabernet, Merlot, Syrah, Sangiovese. The objective pursued by Cantina Pedres is to experience the highest quality at every stage of production, starting from the vineyards where the grapes are grown with high density and low return per hectare
