Portolano Colli di Luni Vermentino DOC
Our vineyards are situate in the municipality of Bolano, in the locality of Tirolo, where Liguria and Tuscany meet. In this area, up unitll 2003, there were woods of chestnuts and oak trees, nowadays there are terraces with about 6,000 Vermentino plants in production since 2007.
The Portolano is made at an altitude of 240- 300 metres.
The grapes are vinified in steel barrels at a controlled temperature, and the company uses a soft pressing process in order to crush the grapes as soon as they arrive in the cellar.
Afterwards the wine is aged in steel, filtered, in order to enter the market the following spring.
